Final Conclusion

Science and technology is like fire can either cook man’s food or cook the man himself. Nothing is harmful until it is used with harmful intentions. Similarly science and technology in themselves are not disastrous. Science and technology have the potential to solve all of man’s problems and challenges provided it is put to right use. But this potential is not being explored. Man is busy misusing technology.

INTRODUCTION TO THE BLOG

The coronavirus pandemic has been responsible for millions of infections globally, affecting almost every sector across the world. While the corona virus is hated worldwide...and for good reasons too, it has shown an important aspect of life to us. We as humans have learned to adapt. From the ice age to dinosaur extinction. From the invention of the light bulb to baby wipes. We've always found a way to survive and make our life more easy, luxurious and lavishing. Which brings us directly to the fact that technology has advanced at an astonishing rate. Be it supercomputers or submarines or biological pathogens, technology has advanced beyond our imagination, sometimes catastrophically... Where once we were struggling to go up a hill on a diesel bike, we've progressed to a point where world organisations are thinking of mars colonisation.

Ups and Downs

As we all know everything has flip sides like a coin. Nothing is completely good or bad. Everything has some positive and negative elements which could differ for everyone.  Similarly, although technology has a lot of perks to it there are a lots of inevitable cons as well..... in this blog I will be talking particularly about the impact of technology in lockdown.  While it has been a blessing to be able to connect and interact with our loved ones, to be able to call and text our family & friends and technology has brought us closer it comes armed to harm us... Many people will be suffering with eye problems due to constant screen time and as you are reading this blog you are exposed to many harmful radiations which mess with our head. It won't show any immediate harms but is beyond fatal in the long run.....

E - Learning

Communicating with everyone is very important. But It's quite a task for students as they have to study online through platforms like MS Teams, Zoom, Google Talk etc. Online learning brings it's challenges. Many students like to study in a school classroom than a virtual one because they are used to it. Teachers are also giving their best effort to make it easier for the kids, as the schools may be closed but the teachers and the staff are working harder than ever. The students also miss the environment, canteen, bunking classes and what not. This is very surreal and un thought of...no one in their right minds could've imagined the world would come to this. It is harder for many students to learn virtually due to various problems like Net issues, disturbances at home and the stress of course.  Teachers have also overworked the students, for their own good, by overburdening them with HW. Let's just say it's a difficult task to juggle homework, classwork, househ...

JOBS: A TICKING TIME BOMB

It's no secret that this lockdown has caused mass unemployment. While many firms have benefitted economically, more people have paid the price. Losing their jobs has scarred their livelihood.  Many people having sales jobs, circuses, tailors, shop vendors, small-scale businessmen, carpenters have been rendered jobless due to the fear of further spreading this god forsaken virus. Some people have had to take loans which they don't know how they'll be able to repay. Some have been taken care of by friends. But most have suffered a lot. To them this is horrible and they, like everyone else, can't wait for it to end.  While some people have cemented their place in their field of work, many companies have done cut downs on employees to reduce the operational expense in order for their firm to continue. There have been cut in employee salaries or work force. And also employee benefits and the rules and regulations of the companies have been greatly altered or all over renou...

Online Schools

Image
During the lockdown period technology has helped us a lot. Specially for schools. Because of this technology students don't have to pause their education because of this pandemic.

COMMUNICATION

Communication with every one is important as keeping good relations helps a lot in the long run. Technology has made the world a smaller place. But however face-to-face communication was, is and will remain the best form of communication. In face-to-face communication we can judge the mood and understand the person better. However video-conferencing does a fair job at covering that part up. It helps people connect which is of the utmost importance at the moment since everybody needs everybody else. Everyone needs love and support to get through this pandemic.

EFFECT ON DAILY LIFE

EFFECT ON DAILY LIFE We need technology for everything. It's an understatement. From drinking water to star gazing.....it's inevitable to do something which doesn't need modern technology. We as humans are highly dependant on our phones. From an early of 5 to a ripe old age of 80, everyone needs phones.  Our dependance on technology has made us lazy. For cooking instead of finding out on our own we just open a YouTube video. Where workouts were all dumbells and weights, now everyone needs to Instagram every picture. Back in the old days students used to study under street lamps.....now they need music while studying. Even for small tasks we need technology. Before we used to use the sunlight for getting up. Now we need alarm clocks for that. Children have a different type of playtime now-a-days. When before they used to go out to play, now they have worked in time to play games like PUBG and Fortnite on a daily basis.
